TOMAHAWK ANIMAL CONTROL POLES Tomahawk's Animal Control Poles can be used to rescue and restrain both domestic and wild animals. They can be used successfully on any size dog or reptile, including snakes, squirrels, cougars, and alligators. They can also be used on a wide variety of other animals such as raccoons, seals and sea lions. Animal control poles have been around for many years, however, Tomahawk Live Trap, has found ways to improve the pole, both in quality and price. Tomahawk Animal Control Poles come in standard, extension, stainless steel, or deluxe models. The standard models feature a long, durable grip for that "grip anywhere" capability, an automatic locking mechanism, a quick release knob, a braided and coated wire rope cable that will not harm the animal, a 360 degree kink resistant swivel head, an extra loop on the end of the noose to prevent getting snapped when releasing the cable, and a lightweight, yet durable tempered aluminum body. The extension poles have the added benefit of expanding when additional length is needed and retract for storage and heavy duty use. All of these features give the handler more confidence when placing the loop around an animal. The Deluxe Model features an aluminum wall that is almost twice as thick as the standard and extension pole models. The stainless steel poles are constructed from durable stainless steel. The best thing about all of our standard, deluxe, and stainless steel poles is that they all have interchangeable parts. When your Tomahawk Animal Control Pole arrives, make sure to operate it before attempting to use on any animal. Become familiar with the pole by pulling on the cable at the end of the pole, and watch the hoop at the other end tighten. To release the hoop, place your thumb through the small loop at the opposite end of the pole, and using the same hand, pull outward on the release knob. The hoop should release instantly. Repeat this procedure until you become very familiar with the pole. Do not tighten the hoop too tightly around any animal. A tight hoop around the neck of an animal may choke and stress the animal.
MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATIONS To ensure the long life of your Tomahawk Animal Control Pole, follow these simple suggestions: 1) To keep your locking device working smoothly, oil the two holes located by the release knob. 2) If the cable of your animal control pole develops a kink, it is important that you remove the kink by bending the cable in the opposite direction of the kink. These two, simple maintenance suggestions will keep your pole working like new for a very long time. |
